Why EVs ride on a flatbed
Most electric vehicles shouldn't be towed with their drive wheels on the ground. Rolling the wheels can turn the motors and damage the drivetrain. That's why we move EVs and all-wheel-drive vehicles on flatbeds, with all four wheels off the road.

Before the truck arrives
- If the car still has power, follow your manufacturer's steps to put it in transport or tow mode.
- Tell our dispatcher if the car won't power on or won't shift out of park, so we can come prepared.
- Let us know where it's going: a service center, a body shop or your home.

Can you tow an EV with a dead battery?
Usually, yes. Tell our dispatcher the car won't power on so we can plan for it. Cars that can't shift out of park take extra equipment and care to load.
Will you take my Tesla to a Tesla Service Center?
Yes. We take your vehicle wherever you choose: a service center, a body shop or your home.
Do you tow other electric vehicles?
Yes. We tow electric and hybrid vehicles of all makes on flatbeds.
